Huawei at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021

Huawei announced the launch of 5G products and solutions at Mobile World Congress 2021 (MWC 2021) in Barcelona.

“By launching this series, we aim to bring multi-antenna technology to all scenarios and bands. Several products within the solutions are unique and will help operators efficiently deploy 5G networks and deliver a best-in-class experience, ”said Yang Chaobin, president of the Huawei wireless product line, in a statement.

# 1 Industry’s only massive 400 MHz 64T64R ultra-wideband MIMO

Huawei’s Massive MIMO product supports 64T64R and 400 MHz bandwidth. This product supports the entire C-band, allowing operators to deploy their multi-segment spectrum on a single module to reduce the number of devices.

# 2 The industry’s lightest 64T64R massive MIMO

Huawei said its Massive MIMO 64T64R product weighs just 19kg. By innovating in Massive MIMO engineering, Huawei’s new 64T products can be transported and installed with one person while delivering performance, greatly improving construction efficiency.

# 3 BladeAAU Pro: the industry’s only 64T A + P solution

Huawei’s BladeAAU integrates active and passive antennas in a single enclosure, making it the first choice for single-pole scenarios. This is the optimal approach to overcome scenarios with limited space, which have become a common headache among operators around the world.

BladeAAU has made it easier for operators in Switzerland to acquire new sites and rapidly deploy 5G networks. BladeAAU has helped operators in China expand coverage and improve the 5G user experience.

Huawei’s BladeAAU Pro is 64T compatible while maintaining a high level of A + P integration. The active module is improved with 64 channels compared to the previous 32 and supports 320W transmit power and 200MHz bandwidth, providing additional flexibility for operators to respond to higher capacity. The passive module is also enhanced with further upgraded port specifications to 2L6H to facilitate full coverage below 3 GHz.

# 4 BladeRRU Pro: The industry’s only RF unit that supports three low bands and three mid bands

Huawei’s BladeRRU Pro is the first to integrate three low-band / three-mid-band, reducing the required number of FDD RRUs by two-thirds for full-band coverage and making multiband deployment investments more efficient.

Huawei provides SingleCell software solution for BladeRRU Pro to coordinate scheduling between low and mid bands, allowing more resources to serve low band UEs at cell edges. The commercial use of the solution at several sites has shown that SingleCell can double the average observed in the experience indicators for these UEs.

# 5 The Industry’s Only Commercial Solid FDD MIMO

Huawei launched the industry’s first commercial FDD Massive MIMO products by combining an innovative meta-material matrix design and ultra-miniature filter technology without passive intermodulation (PIM).

The FDD Massive MIMO device is less than 500mm in width but has technical specifications comparable to those of the TDD Massive MIMO. Its cellular capacity is five to six times that of the 4T4R while providing similar depth coverage performance to bands below 1 GHz.
